A NYSE company in Eastern Pennsylvania (60 miles from Philadelphia) seeks an ERISA attorney with 5+ years experience gained in a large law firm, a Big 4 accounting firm, and/or within the tax department of a multinational corporation. This position is part of the Tax Department Compensation and Benefits Support Team and reports to Senior Tax Counsel. This lawyer will coordinate and develop overall corporate legal advice pertaining to employee benefits and compensation and serve as the tax liaison to Human Resources, coordinate benefit plan compliance with tax. Lawyer's responsibilities include drafting necessary documents, working with outside counsel and other resources; researching applicable law; and advising on compensation and benefit issues pertaining to acquisitions and divestitures. The lawyer will also monitor tax and ERISA filing and disclosure requirements including plan determination letters. The company's high quality legal team consists primarily of major law firm alumni and offers sophisticated work, substantial responsibility and competitive compensation. Compensation consists of base salary, bonus and the other benefits normally afforded to employees at this level.
